About Time Somebody Did This O.K....let's get one thing straight. The Original Battlestar Galactica series was horrid....it was pure family-oriented cheese at it's worst. In the new series the robes and capes are banished to the fifth circle of hell, where they deserve to be. The Cyclons, instead of being yet another hackney'd villian, led by an evil "Imperious Leader" who wants to conquer the universe, are actually portrayed as three-dimensional characters with their own loves, fears, hates, etc. etc. Although it is still a space-opera, the hard sci-fi elements mute any cheesiness.
