Being Julia

Annette was robbed

I'm not going to describe the whole plot and ruin the picture for you like some reviewers. Let me say that that Annette Bening gave the most incredible performance last year. I'm not saying that Hilary Swank wasn't great in MILLION DOLLAR BABY - she was. But I didn't see the really real realness that Bening gave; nor did Swank have the opportunity to play a character who goes through such a metamorphosis.
That said, the supporting cast was fantastic as well. And funny! I laughed out loud because of Bening and her theatrics (she plays an actress and acts the part well). There was a great feel for London in the 1930s and sumptuous costumes.
I recommend this movie for a good time. As for MILLION DOLLAR BABY: make sure that you're feeling pretty good when you see it; if you're in sad mood, it'll make you feel worse.
