Deadwood - The Complete First Season (2004) The old west really lives again. What I'd add to the many reviews here is that the "extra" features of the DVD set are of great value. Especially is this true of the first disc, where you can play David Milch's overnarration of the first episode. Many valuable insights to this great series. I don't subscribe to HBO, and as with the Sopranos, my introduction to the series came with the DVD. I can't watch it one episode at a time; must have two or three at least. It is worth every penny, and more so. This is for everyone who loves good drama. But for those who love this era of our history, this series simply cannot be missed.
