Continuitiy! Continuitiy! Continuitiy!

This is not a bad move, it was just poorly executed. They made too big of a jump from Daredevil to Elektra. It seems like a totally different franchise, instead of flowing from the previous move. There is too much missing back-story with Stick and his organization. It is a bit like being thrown into season 5 of Buffy with no idea of the previous episodes.

What they should have done was to take right off where Daredevil ended, and pick up telling of Elektra's resurrection, attempts at being mistress of the two worlds, and eventual refusal of the call.

This seems to be a problem with Stick-in this movie we se three "treasures." In fact, the4 second problem is that there are too many villains hounding her. With so much chaos in her life, it is no wonder she is OCD. And the villains were not balanced to her power. She is just a very skilled woman, but a normal woman nonetheless. You don't pit Galactus against Frogman, and you do not pit Elektra against such a powerful villain. Otherwise you end up with a dumb deus ex machine like the movie had. Make it more James Bond, or at least more The Incredibles.

Thirdly, they needed a cameo of Ben Affleck. The one graffito Devil by the pool hall was not enough. After all, these two need to be coming back together again. Continuity was the whole problem-wasn't her father played by Erick Avari? And what about Elektra's emotional sate. From being a rather carefree lover with Matt M, she has become a cold killer with OCD.

This is a salvageable franchise since Jennifer Garner is bankable. What you do is have a flashback sequence that bridged the gap between her deat and her training with Splinter-I mean Stick. Or, if you do a TV series, have it begin here. The transition was to jolting, even for a die had E fan.

On the good side, at least they gave her back her red costume. Than you!
