A Ray of Sunshine!!! (See the synopsis above for film description) I feel it's important for me to say that I DO NOT LIKE watching Jim Carrey on film. Not since Dumb and Dumber. Every time a new film comes out, reviewers tell you `how straight he plays it' in this film. And every time I've thought, `Okay I'll give it a go'. And every time he's exactly the same as every other film. Exaggerated facial expressions, over-acting and unable to play to play it straight. For once, I was very pleasantly surprised. He really IS different in this film. And I must say that he is excellent, along with every other member of the cast. This film is funny (without it being a blatant comedy), heart wrenching at times, and always interesting and definitely original. Without a doubt one of the best, if not THE best film of 2004! Kudos to all involved!
