Finding Nemo (Collector's Edition) (2003)

Disney Should be Ashamed!

Jock Custow would be spinning in his watery grave if he saw this terrible documentary by Disney. The company goes and uses the amazing underwater footage they shot and ruins it completely by superimposing moving mouths on the sea creatures. Then they add celebrity voices and make the creatures talk to each other using scripted dialog. This is absolutely inexcuseable. It totally underminds the whole premise of a documentary.
Lots of people give Micheal Moore a lot of guff for what he does with editing, but atleast he doesn't make George Bush's mouth move via computer enhancement and then make him say whatever he scripts him to say.
I'm outraged by this documentary, and suggest nobody lets thier children watch it. It is not educational, and clearly the only intention they had was to try to entertain people.
That said, the only redeeming thing about this movie are the camera angles and amazing underwater shots. I have no idea how they filmed it, so kudos to the camera crew and cinematographer! It is too bad the suits decided the footage wasn't exciting enough and compromised the documentary integrity by "giving it some flava".
