After all these years still appealing Hogan's Heroes has not lost its appeal through all these years. Ever fresh, ever funny, this DVD set of Season 1 has been reproduced with outmost care and quality. However, I am disappointed that the pilot "Roll Call" was omitted. I hope it appears later in one of the next sets. Since the show was filmed in the Los Angeles area, you will notice some palm trees in the distance in Episode 7, "German Bridge is Falling Down." Look carefully when the men begin to paint the building (14:04 to 15:32). I guess nobody was paying attention during the shoot.
