Sex and the City - Season Six, Part 1 (2003)

Studio: HBO Home Video
Starring: Sarah Jessica Parker
Release Date: May 18, 2004
Running Time:

Genius, Fun, and Funny!

The show "Sex and the City" is the most fun and refreshing thing
to hit television EVER. So much of it was the girls, the stars, the
women who made the characters come alive. And alot of it was
the writing by geniuses like... more

Excellent comedy about the unrealistic women expectations
Very funny series, I loved it though I will never recommend it for women who are really serious about getting into a relationship with men. These women want men who are "perfect " 24 hours a day, for as long as they consider the men valid. Should the... more

Of All The Sets, This Is My Favorite!
I agree with people who are angry about the packaging. I love all the HBO shows that have been released on DVD, but whoever designs and markets the SATC sets is insane. Releasing seasons in 2 halves is a ripoff, plain and simple. There is no reason for... more

Reaching the end.
I agree with people complaining about this season because it was released in two parts but I also think that has nothing to do with the quality of the series.
The sixth season was the longest and the best, actually I've seen all the seasons and... more

Before you buy read this...
HBO Video plans to release a "super-premium" Sex and the City collection before Christmas. Although all seasons for the show are now available, according to an HBO spokesperson the premium set will feature the complete series along with additional content... more

They're back
I was very excited to watch the last season. This one was one of the best. After somewhat disappointing 5th season with only 8 episodes, season six part one was great and back to its original fun, and witty ways.
I was glad there were 12 episodes... more

Worthy ending for a fine show, but...
I was a fan of "Sex and the City" right from the start, and I believe the writers of the series came up with an ending for the series that was pitch perfect. Each of the four main characters grew as a person during the course of the series, and each character... more

Great Show - But Two Full Sets for One Season?
I've been a fan of the show for a while now. I started buying up the DVD sets as they came out... impatiently awaiting the next installment in the series.

When Season 5 came out, I was severely disappointed to see them charge full price for... more

I love this show
When the show was on TV regularly, my household did not have HBO as part of the cable package. For the years "Sex and the City" was on , I always watched the award shows (Emmys, Golden Globes, etc) and I never got what all the hoopla about "Sex" was.... more

Great, but ...
I got into "Sex" just as the sixth season began, and enjoyed the first five seasons. This one is also great.

It's a sad fact, though, that the DVD extras on many series are usually not that good. I got tired of past voiceovers that were mainly... more

Only for the die hard fans...
I loved the show and wish it was still on the air because the knock offs just don't compensate for the real thing. However, I have a few criticisms of these DVD's, my first criticism is that season 6 is divided in half. They should charge us one price... more

Season six is the best of them all
I got hooked on this show after watching a few episodes on TBS. Since then I've rented the first five seasons, plus the first twelve episodes of Season 6 (the ones on this DVD). My friends and I are eagerly awaiting the release of Part II later on this... more

All Great things and such...
all great things must come to an end this is true of shows and of everything else. i can attest to the fact that sex and the city changed my life. it gave me confidence and the power to work it no matter what. there were not that many exciting and edgy... more

not a bargain in europe
I purchased the entire 6th season from Amazon.uk. Surprise, Surprise when I inserted the dvd I was informed that "PLAYBACK PROHIBITED BY AREA LIMITATIONS"! In other words I spent $52.00 for something that I can not use. Question: What is an area limitation?... more

Honestly A Bit of A Rip
i just wanted to say to satc's American fans: buy from amazon.co.uk because the 6th season comes "whole" and not in 2 parts............
can't quite believe it's over...i laughed i cried. soooo much better than series 5.
thanks girls! more

Huge disapointment
I've been a huge fan of this series ever since its inception, but the end... such a dissapointment:-( I don't know what happened, but after the *brilliant* fourth season the show started going downhill and with a few exceptions it's just plain flat. It's... more

Can't get enough 'Sex'
The first half of this season is full of clever lines, great plot lines, and hysterical moments. Carrie continues to date Berger, a fellow writer (even though she has major problems sleeping with the sounds of nature all around her), and at the end of... more

Takes some getting used to
The series is decent, but it does seem to be an acquired taste. My wife would probably give it 5 stars without hesitation so it seems to be geared toward women, but there are some enjoyable moments in there for men as well.

As far as the... more
