Sex and the City - The Complete First Season (1998)
Almost a perfect comedy
I never watched this show while it was on the air and now that it is OnDemand, I have become a huge fan of it. Why do I think it's almost perfect and not perfect? Because Kim Catrall's role is way over the top to be taken seriously and her hyper-obessesion with non-stop sex is truly bizarre. Her use of the "C" word even in joking manner belies the reality that this was written by writers out of touch with what a woman truly feels about the usage of that word even in a joking fashion.
Other than that, the show is funny and enjoyable with the various relationships in which the women become involved. They are about as funny as what we saw in Seinfeld. I recommend the 6th season most of all because of the incredible storylines and the great wrap-up.
As for this comment by another fan, "Note: this is defintely not something that "Christian Coalition" types will admit to liking....!)", sorry but as a fan of both the C.C. and this show, I have to say you don't know as much as you think. ;)
