Chum
"From the makers of *Shrek*" my ventral fin. If the two films share any writers or directors or *anyone* else directly involved in their respective contents, then this is evidence of schizophrenia. I might one day persuade someone to let me record at Abbey Road studios, but it would be misleading to bill the result as "From the same people who brought you the Beatles." *Shrek* (and even *Shrek II*) can be fall-out-of-your-chair funny at times, as the script provided Mike Meyers with the opportunity to transcend his usual mediocrity. As someone else here has observed, *Shark Tale* is embarrassing in its many rip-offs of pop (African American) humor.
And here's one for Jerry Falwell: Jerry, the theme of the "vegetarian" shark and his struggles with his father's unacceptance seems clearly to be intended as a metaphor for the plight of some gays and their difficulties in reconciling with their families.
