Two guys and a lot of bottles of whine!
Thank you for making this slice of life movie about two friends who go on a "wine tasting" road trip and discover the truth about themselves and their relationships with women. It was warm, humorous, sad, hysterical and a little slow. Just like a rollercoaster. Click, click, click going up to the top seems to take a while. Then you are falling fast screaming your lungs out.
I told my son before we went out that I was not in the mood for a cookie cutter movie or any resemblance of any movie plot that I have ever seen. (And definitely not a remake!)(Or a sequel!) (Hey Hollywood, listen up....enough with the do over and over again stuff. Please take a cue from this movie.)
I was pleasantly surprised that not only was the wine vineyards beautiful, but I was also learning about wine and the right way to taste it, smell it and swish it! (The education and experiencing of it all is enough reason for a road trip of our own someday!)
The characters were so well developed. I knew each of those people like friends by the end of that movie. I could have watched longer. In fact, we went on to finish it in the car all the way home!
I want to know whose apartments/houses they were. They were so fleshed out in real live clutter, it had to be real. (Do they pay for that?)
I would recommend this movie to any adult who is looking for more than the average movie, the movie that will take you away from your thoughts and into theirs. You start tasting the wine along with them! (Those glasses were clean. Very impressive!) You start yelling at the screen, Miles, let go!
