Gets better and better
Matt Stone and Trey Parker's money making brain child proved in it's fifth season that no matter what, it's scathing humor would never let up. Like the above Amazon review states, nearly two months after the tragedy of September 11th, a South Park episode entitled "Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants" premiered in which Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny travel to Afganistan and have an absolutely hilarious encounter with the wanted terrorist which results in a Looney Tunes-ish showdown between Bin Laded and Cartman. That episode is worth the price of admission alone, but season five of South Park offered more episodes that managed to excel on another one right after the other. "It Hits the Fan" is a landmark episode where the S word is muttered 162 times with gut busting results, while supporting character Butters gets his own episode which must be seen to be believed. Wheelchair bound Timmy feels outshined by new disabled kid Jimmy, resulting in one of the most offensive, and hilarious, fights in TV history. "Proper Condom Use" finds the kids receiving a crash course lesson in safe sex, and Kenny actually dies and stays dead (until the following season that is). And last, but certainly not least, is "Scott Tenorman Must Die". This episode is possibly the best to be seen on the series, as Cartman plots revenge against older kid Scott Tenorman which ends in one of the most shockingly hilarious moments in animated TV history. All in all, season five of South Park is undoubtadly the show at it's best, and you'll be lucky if your not on the floor laughing once you see it.
