Better than Episode I.... This film is definitely a little better than Episode I, but not by much. The special effects once again take precedence over acting, much as it does in many films these days. The storyline ends with the marriage of Anakin and Padme Amidala, much as I expected it to. But the originals are still much better than the prequels, simply because they had less special effects and better quality actors. Even the painted scenes in the originals looked more realistic than the effects in these prequels and later added to the first trilogy. The characters were more tolerable, more memorable. But I guess I expected something darker than these prequels....something darker than The Empire Strikes Back, which was the best of any of the series. We'll see what Episode III: Revenge of the Sith brings us.
