Who knew?

30 days of nothing but McDonald's food sounds like a lark & perhaps a little foolish. Morgan Spurlick surmised that he would need more to make a movie & filled out his dvd with plenty of extra footage. By the 20th day of nothing but Micky D's food, he was dying. I was shocked. To me on an entertainment level this was way better than any action movie. This was real & immediate. He did have some rules. He had to sample at least once every thing Mickie D had to offer. He'd supersize only when asked. He would try to eat three times a day. Wisely, he had a good support system. He employed a number of medical spcialist. Most important of all was his girl friend. She must really love him. They were all concerned that he might not make it to 30 days with out some really bad medical complications. He had to give in at one point switching to water instead of other beverages. This was permissible as Mickie D sells bottled water.
Boomers have been eating this stuff most of their lives & in massive quantities it is so ubiquitous. Not just McDonalds but Burger King, Hardees & all the thousands that follow the leaders. They are not evil & we all have free choice. But we are killing ourselves a centimeter at a time. An excellent movie on a now very public problem, not fast food itself but it's abuse, aftermath, in health probelems & obesity.
