Wonderful film experience The Lotr is the best fictional story alive. The books were my favorites for years, and i am by no means dissapointed by the movies. Peter jackson and the cast brought this movie to life beutifully in a way that no one believed they would be able to. i love the books, but the slight variations in the storyline were excusable. Tolkien story is still there in all of its complexness. The scourging of the shire was the biggest scene missing from the film but understandable so. The biggest loss from that scene is tolkiens theme of death. These Dvd have hours of entrancing material which are almost as interesting as the movie. i have sat down and watched them with people who hated the movies and they have enjoyed them.From graphic design too cast interviews the 10 hours of addtional footage is a deffinate bonus
