Magnificent and memorable!! This is one of those rare instances where the story is so utterly believable and magnificent that I forget I'm not a part of it. (The same could be said for the books, but as I haven't finished reading them all, I won't review them yet.) The characters, the cultures, and Middle-earth are so real to me that I find myself completely submerged and I come back to reality with more than a touch of regret. It's actually a toss-up which I enjoy more, the movie or the bonus features. I am fascinated by the extras that show how the movies were made. The depth and the painstaking detail that went in to the production of these three films is mind-blowing. It's wonderful to have so much material literally at my fingertips. Kudos to Peter Jackson and the production/creative teams for this astounding achievement. Thank you!
