Not the Greatest Easter Gift I've Ever Gotten...

My Mom got me this DVD for Easter yesterday, she thinks I have strayed a bit from the flock and felt as though this movie would help me get back into formation.
I've heard a lot about this film, but until I recieved this yesterday I hadn't seen it.

Here is my take on this film after seeing it for the first time last night:
1.It is very violent. Not soething I really wanted to see on Easter. Easter is for watching NCAA basketball, relaxing, having a good meal, and spending time with your family. This DVD was kind of a buzzkill on the holiday yesterday.
2.You have to read subtitles. I have never really been a big fan of foreign films, and I'm actually pretty shocked this foreign movie got so big. Not only was it foreign, but I couldn't even figure out what the language is. Must be an eastern European country or something. It didn't sound familiar.
3.It is very long. I like most movies to be an hour and a half. My favorite movie is Turner and Hootch starrring Tom Hanks and a big sloppy dog! That movie is the perfect length.
4. Where are the celebrities? For being such a blockbuster movie, I expected some blockbuster celebrities to be in it. Where are the Angelina Jolies, the Tom Cruises, the Cameron Diazs, the Nic Cages? There is no celebrity power here. I'm shocked it did as well as it did without the celebrity name appeal.
5. I won't ruin it, but it has a very sad ending that I didn't really see coming. If you're going to make a movie, you should make it have a happy ending. I mean, couldn't they have somehow given this movie a happy endng? It's about Easter...a bunny rabbit might have lightened the mood.
