Should be listed as a horror movie Between the barbaric violence depicted and the scenes of Satan and his legions, this movie puts the darkest aspects of Christianity's mythologies on stage for everyone to see. Anyone who takes a child to see this movie should be arrested for child abuse because they will surely be scarred by the scenes of senseless violence and cruelty. In terms of plot and character development, this film fails on many levels. I'm not sure exactly what message Gibson was trying to tell in this movie, but whatever it was, it didn't work and it didn't inspire me except to make me want to avoid this movie with like a plague.
