Not The Best - But Good Enough!
I'm pleased HBO has managed to up the date to June for the release of this, perhaps the least devloped entry in the Sopranos series. While what happens to Matteo's character is certainly on par with some of the series most shocking moments, the rest of the season seems obsessed with having the characters wander about as if they were actually going somewhere, but never really doing so. Danger seems to lurk around every corner, but nothing becomes of the various and sundry storylines. Many questions are raised, very few answers are given. This could, of course, provide for a really explosive sixth season, but the fifth seemed to flounder about a bit. That having been said, I'll buy it the day it comes out, because at the end of the day, it's still the most riveting television on television. I hear they're in talks for a seventh season. Long live the Sopranos!
