The penultimate season The Sopranos is, and always will be, the greatest of all American drama series broadcast on television. In David Chase's creation, HBO's unwavering support of the uncensored, and the acting talents of Gandolfini and co we have here once again 13 episodes of nuanced storytelling, powerful violence, strong language and heavy philosophy to die for. Just one more season and the masterplan will be complete. Thankfully, with a total of just six seasons (13 episodes each) anyone in the next 100 years will be able to approach the series without feeling intimidated by the wealth of content that say Buffy or Star Trek holds. I am quite happy to wait till 2006 for the show to end, as you know that the writers are cooking up something special, something very special indeed.
